Awards for Cochin gynaecological society

Cochin Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (COGS) has bagged three national awards and the State award for the best gynaecological society.

Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of India awarded COGS with the President's rotating trophy for the best society in the country; Dr. Duru Shah youth trophy for works among youth and Smithy Lupin girl child trophy for measures taken to safe guard the girl child.

Kerala Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology also honoured COGS with best society award 2011 for their performance. The award was received by COGS president Sherly John and honorary secretary & cancer surgeon K. Chithrathara at the All Kerala Gynaecologist's Congress held at Kottayam from Dr. Arulkumaran, president-elect of International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FIGO).
