ATM heist: SIT gets custody of second accused

More than three months after a gang of six looted ₹35 lakh from the two ATMs at Irumpanam and Koratty, the Special Investigation Team probing the case managed to secure the custody of Pappu Palsingh aka Pappy, the second accused person in the case.

He was brought here from a jail in Haryana on a production warrant issued by a court in Thripunithura, which remanded him in police custody for five days.

“He [Pappy] was part of the conspiracy. We will take him to various places for evidence collection,” T. Uthamdas, head of SIT, told The Hindu .
