The British-built Harbour Bridge or the old Mattancherry bridge, saw an interesting event on Sunday – ‘Aarakum aa choondakkaran?’— an angling contest to decide who among the participants would be lucky enough to catch the first, most and biggest of fishes.

It was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K.V. Thomas. Prof. Thomas and a few other guests joined around 150 people who participated in the contest that was organised by Kerala Home Stay and Tourism Society (Kerala-HATS).

Dominic Presentation, MLA; Kochi Range IG, K. Padmakumar; and Mayor Tony Chammany were present.
