AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Sunday returned to the national capital after a three day visit to the State. A special aircraft carrying him took off from here to Delhi at 10.15 in the morning.

Earlier on the day, he had to cancel a plan to visit the victims of stampede at Pulmedu near Sabarimala as his helicopter could not land near Kumily due to rough weather.

He later flew to Kochi and landed here by 8.40 a.m and during his brief stay at the airport here, no one was given permission to meet him.
