The CBI Special Court here on Thursday remanded suspected Lashkar operative T. Nazir and two others, accused in the 2006 twin Kozhikode blasts case, to judicial custody till March 25.

The court, which is hearing terror-related cases being handled by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the State, ordered that the three, including Shafaz and Yusuf, be produced on March 26.

Earlier, as part of the investigation, NIA team had taken Nazir, the alleged LeT operative and his close aide Shafaz, to various places, including Knnuar, where he had devised the explosives meant for the twin blasts in Kozhikode that left two persons injured.

He was also taken to Kizhakkambalam and surrounding areas in Ernakulam district to gather evidence.

Nazir, a resident of Kannur, was suspected to have masterminded a well orchestrated network to recruit Muslim youths from Kerala to the Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit to carry out subversive activities.

Shafaz was also taken to various places in Kozhikode district as part of evidence gathering in the case.
