The vigilance court order came on a complaint filed by Sudhakaran Nair, alleging misappropriation and misconduct on the part of Mr. Anil and others. The allegation was that they had undertaken foreign tours under the guise of the promotion of coir products at the cost of the institute. There were allegations of misappropriation by them to the tune of Rs. 3 crore.
