City to host special school youth festival

Chilamboli, the special school State youth festival, will be held in Kochi from February 3 to 5.

Minister for Water Resources Mathew T. Thomas will inaugurate the festival on February 4 at 6 p.m. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will attend the valedictory ceremony on February 5 at 12 noon.

The contests in three categories will be held in eight venues at Bharat Mata College, Thrikkakara.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Fr. Roy Vadakkel, chairman of Association for the Intellectually Disabled (AID), said that 3,000-odd students and teachers from across the State would participate in the youth festival.

The festival is being jointly organised by the AID, Ernakulam YMCA, and the Centre for Empowerment and Enrichment.
