A 12-year-old girl suffered serious burns on her face in a suspected case of acid attack at Ramamangalam.
The incident took place when a man, who was allegedly in a relationship with her mother, threw acid over the family members who were sleeping inside a room, said the Ramamangalam police.
The police took into custody Renny, 35, a resident of Neythusalapadi. The alleged incident took place in the early hours of Thursday. The woman and her three other children suffered minor burns in the incident.
