Youth killed in agriculture land in Mahabubnagar

October 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A student of Intermediate, Ramesh, of Bolvonipally village in Kosigi mandal of adjoining Mahabubnagar district was on Sunday killed, allegedly by unknown assailants, on agricultural land owned by his family.

While some said that the youth’s legs were tied and he was forced to drink pesticide, police said there was no direct evidence to corroborate this version.

“We found it to be typical case of poisoning and have registered a case of suspicious death. At this juncture, we cannot say more and are investigating the matter,” said Inspector-Kodangal, A. Vishwa Prasad.

It is understood that there were some agricultural land disputes between the youngster’s family and neighbouring land owners.

The case was registered on the basis of a complaint by the youngster’s father who suspected his neighbours.
