A youth, J. Krishna, jumped to death from a cell tower at Maripeda in Warangal district.
He took the extreme step allegedly due to humiliation after he was picked up by the police and released later when he involuntarily obstructed a police patrol on Thursday.

Holding the police personnel responsible, the members of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti and relatives of the deceased person, Krishna, staged a dharna in Maripeda on Friday demanding suspension of the Sub-Inspector of police, Krishna Kumar.
The protest led to a traffic jam in the village.
