A 30-year-old woman and her 23-year-old paramour were arrested by the Keesara police for allegedly killing her husband B. Vasanth on March 13. A 13-year-old girl, who was allegedly part of the murder plan, was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

Police said that Vasanth, who was working as a labourer at a tent house, used to live in RGK Colony in Keesara mandal of Medchal district along with his wife B. Renuka and two children. The couple used to fight frequently over domestic and financial issues after consuming liquor together.

Around seven months ago, D. Kishore, who used to work as a helper in a gas agency, got acquainted with Renuka. Their acquaintance turned into an extra-marital affair. Kushaiguda Assistant Commissioner of Police K. Shiva Kumar said Kishore joined the same tent house where Vasanth used to work, and started to live with the couple as a paying guest. He continued the extra-marital affair with Renuka in the absence of her husband.

Renuka, who hatched a plan to kill Vasanth, requested the help of Kishore and also her 13-year-old daughter in eliminating her husband, to which both agreed. After consuming chicken and liquor on March 13, Vasanth slept. Late in the night, Renuka and Kishore tied Vasanth’s hands and legs. When Renuka pressed a pillow against her husband’s face, Kishore held Vasanth’s hands, and the daughter held his legs.

After smothering him, they later poured liquor into his mouth so as to make it appear that he died due to excessive consumption of alcohol. They planned to dispose of the body quickly and flee away. However, residents of the locality grew suspicious and informed the police, who launched an investigation and found the details. The accused will be sent to judicial custody.
