A 24-year-old woman operating a fake detective agency landed behind the bars on Tuesday after she allegedly cheated a housewife assuring to verify antecedents of her husband and in-laws.
Gold ornaments worth Rs. 16.5 lakh, which the accused Borra Pallavi Reddy had collected from the victim in lieu of fee and other charges were recovered, the Narayanaguda Inspector B. Narsimha Reddy said.
