Mystery deepened over the disappearance of a youngster, A. Naresh, even as his wife Swati ended her life in the house of her parents at Pallerla village of Atmakur of Bhongir-Yadadri on city outskirts on Tuesday.

Naresh and Swati had married outside their castes against the wishes of the latter's family a month ago.

They were classmates in graduation when they fell in love . Naresh and Swati left their houses, went to Mumbai and got married.

On learning of their marriage, Swati's father had called up Naresh and asked both of them to come back to Hyderabad, saying his family would approve their marriage.

According to Naresh's family, Swati's father had held a panchayat in the presence of elders when the couple had returned to the village and took his daughter to his house.

Naresh, who had gone to his aunt’s house after the panchayat, was not to be seen from May 2.

Worried over Naresh's safety, his family filed habeas corpus petition in the High Court. As per the directive of the court, the police were asked to respond to the petition.

Meanwhile, Swati ended her life by hanging to the ceiling in her house.

“Mr. Reddy stopped on the ORR after he saw an unidentified victim of a hit-and-run case lying on the road.

Meanwhile, another speeding car hit him around 7 p.m.,” the police said.
