The Irrigation Department has given administrative approval for Rs. 2.85 crore for engaging the services of WAPCOS (Water & Power Consultancy Services – India – Ltd) for vetting of Detailed Project Report for lift irrigation scheme from Mid Manair to Tadakapally, Gandhamalla, Baswapur, Pamulaparthy and Nizamsagar as part of Pranahita-Chevella project.
The agency has been asked to submit the topographic survey of the water conductor system from Mid Manair to Tadakapally, Gandhamalla, Baswapur, Pamulaparthy, Nizamsagar balancing reservoirs and also for Thummidihatti barrage with 152-meter full reservoir level submergence area using Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) and ETS (2 Km vide - about 300 Sq. Km).
