Vodafone waits for clarity on net neutrality

April 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Mobile telephony and data services provider Vodafone is waiting for more details from the Centre on the issue of net neutrality in the country. Neutrality will mean that internet service providers should give access to all content regardless of source and without favouring/blocking some products or websites. It has also been awaiting clarity on how the Centre plans to control over-the-top (OTT) platforms like WhatsApp and Skype that are used for delivering audio and video over the world-wide web without involving multiple-system operators, said Rohit Tandon, Circle Business Head (AP and TS).
