While entire Telangana has been celebrating the third anniversary of the formation of the State, the villagers of Vemulaghat in Touguta mandal of Siddipet district continued with their protest.

On Friday the farmers, agitating against the Government move to acquire their lands for Mallannasagar reservoir without proper compensation, blindfolded their eyes and sat in the ongoing the protest at their village.

The farmers of this village have been demanding implementation of LA Act – 2013 for the last 11 months. “We want nothing but implementation of LA Act – 2013 which would offer us justice and right compensation. The Government had failed to implement it so far,” commented a villager.
