Two students were drowned in a tank at Gudagudem village at IDA Bollaram in Jinnaram mandal. The incident took place late on Saturday night. According to sources, four students from a college in Kukatpally reached the tank to have a bath.
It is believed that all of them were in a drunken condition and two of them failed to swim and drowned. Bodies were retrieved late in the night. The victims were identified as Sai and Ravi Teja, both of them aged about 20 years. Bodies were shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem. Police registered a case and are investigating.
