Two truck drivers were killed while another one sustained injuries when the vehicles were involved in a accident at Chittapur on National Highway-44 under Balkonda police station limits on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Chouhavan Gokarna Singh, 32, of Anantapur district, and Mohammed Nazar, 33, of Rajasthan.
Jillela Diwakar of Anantapur was injured and admitted to Government General Hospital here. His condition is stated to be serious.
According to SI of Police, Srihari, the accident took place when the truck carrying tomato load from Anantapur to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh hit another one coming in the opposite direction.
