Two doctors were arrested in Choutuppal on Tuesday for allegedly conducting pre-natal sex determination and selective foetal abortion.
The Rachakonda Police identified the doctors as Prashanti and Sreedhar, who were allegedly conducting the procedures at New Medwin Diagnostic Centre. The police raided the centre after conducting a decoy operation to nab the doctors red-handed. The diagnostic centre came under the radar of cops after a tip-off. A third person, Dhanaiah, was also arrested. The trio were booked under sections of PCPNDT Act and IPC.
