TV scribe's murder accused wanted in other cases

The three ‘hired killers' caught by the police for plotting to murder Studio-N employee, Netaji, at the behest of latter's father-in-law were wanted in dacoity and extortion cases as well, the police said on Wednesday.

Along with the trio and six of their associates, Netaji's father-in-law, A. Ravi Kumar, R. Hanumantha Rao and K. Venkateswarlu, were arrested, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, A.K. Khan, said at a press conference.

A country-made pistol with three live rounds, three daggers, an Accent car and two bikes were seized from the leader of the hired killer gang, K. Veera Brahma Chary.

Murders wine shop owner

According to the police, Chary was involved in 29 offences, including dacoities, robberies and extortions. He ‘murdered' a wine shop owner in Cyberabad for failing to pay the money he demanded. Chary managed to escape from police custody four times earlier after being arrested in different cases.
