TSWREIS schools get The Hindu special publications

This was part of HPCL’s CSR

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), South Central Zone, on Monday, handed over The Hindu Special Publications to 261 libraries of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) schools.

Each set, donated to the libraries as part of the national oil company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR), consists of 18 special publications.

Senior officials of HPCL and TSWREIS participated in the distribution programme held at DSS Bhavan in Masab Tank.

Addressing the programme, TSWREIS Additional Secretary Umadevi urged the school librarians to encourage students to read informative books from The Hindu Group .

Joint Secretary Bharat Babu said that The Hindu Group , which was associated with TSWREIS for over a decade now, encouraged students of the schools to take part in various activities and events.

Students had aced many competitions, in which many from corporate schools participated.

Head of the Retail of HPCL C.K. Narasimha said that the oil company was donating very useful books from The Hindu Group for the benefit of TSWREIS school students, as part of its CSR activity.

HPCL was also associated with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in areas of sanitation and health as part of the CSR programmes, he told the programme, in which the company’s DGM Rajesh, Head-HR C.V.Srinivasa Raghavan and Manager-HR K. Madhukar participated.

Regional Head (AP and TS) of The Hindu Group Publishing Pvt Ltd S.D.T. Rao spoke. Content manager and DCO of TSWREIS B. Venkat Raju and school librarians were present. Chief Academic Monitoring Officer of TSWREIS George. V proposed a vote of thanks.
