Chief Minister releases the second edition of Jwalitha Deeksha

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said the separate Telangana statehood was achieved by drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violence and Satyagraha.

He said the path of tolerance and non-violence demonstrated by the people of Telangana during his indefinite fast from November 29 to December 9 has become a guiding spirit to the country. He was speaking after releasing the second edition of Jwalitha Deeksha written by Chief Minister’s PRO G. Vijay Kumar which has KCR’s fast unto death in the backdrop, at Pragathi Bhavan here on Tuesday. The book was first published seven years ago and the second edition was released on the eve of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mr. Vijay Kumar has portrayed the emotionally surcharged situation that was prevalent when Mr. Rao undertook the indefinite fast in 2009. Telanganalo Gandhi and Gandhi in Telangana written by Adapa Satyanarayana, a professor, were also released.
