TS forms GoM on irrigation projects

The Telangana government on Friday constituted a Group of Ministers – Cabinet Sub-Committee – to examine the recommendations of the expert committee to expeditiously complete the ongoing major and medium irrigation projects in the State.

The four-member committee would be headed by Deputy Chief Minister K. Srihari and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao would be the member-convenor. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma said in the orders issued for the purpose that Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Minister for Roads & Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao would be the other members.

Both Mr. Srihari and Mr. Nageswara Rao have the experience of holding major irrigation portfolio in the past. The Cabinet Sub-Committee would examine the matter and make its recommendations to the government.
