TS Congress at 3rd position in ‘Shakti’ enrolment

Telangana Congress emerged in the top three of the Congress party’s Shakti programme in the country enrolling over 1.80 lakh candidates. The programme connects booth-level worker with the top leadership through the Shakti App.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi felicitated Telangana State coordinator of Shakti programme and Parigi MLA T. Rammohan Reddy and other party activists involved in the enrolment effort, at New Delhi.

Mr. Gandhi also felicitated the top 10 performers from Telangana and they included Nuthi Srikanth (Amberpet), Padmavathi Reddy (Kodad), Vamshi Krishna (Achampet), Donthi Madhava Reddy (Narsampet), Makhan Singh Raj Thakur (Ramagundem), Sanjeev Reddy (Sangareddy), V. Pratap Reddy (Gajwel), G. Prasad Kumar (Vikarabad), Anil (Balkonda) and Maheshwar Reddy (Nirmal).

After felicitating the top performers Mr. Gandhi said the Shakti programme was making a clear differentiation on who is working on the ground and who is not. In future, it would act like an x-ray or CT-scan that would give a clear picture of party’s strengths and weaknesses in a given area.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Shakti programme had helped in the rejuvenation of party cadre wherein the calibre of every leader and worker was being tested on the basis of enrolment.

Koppula Raju, the head of Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s core team, former Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot were among those present.
