Elected representatives should always be available for party workers, says KTR

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leadership is now focusing on strengthening the organization to tackle any election and to stand by its party workers, said party working president K. T. Rama Rao on his maiden visit to the two districts after his appointment.

He was accorded a grand welcome by party leaders and cadres. At his first stop in Pembarthy village in Jangaon district he was taken in a massive colourful procession. Mr. Rama Rao addressed party workers after laying the foundation stone for the party office building.

Beehive of activity

“This office is meant to be a beehive of activity. The elected public representatives should always be available for party workers here. They should not restrict themselves to official guest houses. Even ministers are supposed to stay put in the office whenever possible,” he said.

In a bid to strengthen the organisation, the party would build offices at all district headquarters in the first phase and later at the constituency level. “Any party worker who is in need of any help should be able to get it at the party office,” Mr. Rama Rao said.

Election-ready

The party is bracing up to face a series of elections — Gram Panchayat, Zilla Parishad and Parliament — in the next few months. So, party leaders from the village level to district level need to work in perfect coordination and have good planning right from the booth level. Mr. Rama Rao said he chose to visit Warangal following the instructions of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as the people of Warangal always stood by the party through the thick and thin. “Taking into account the representations of Palakurthi MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao for a mini textile park in the district, the government is sympathetic to all demands from people. The industrial corridor between Jangaon and Warangal, which will enable providing employment to local youth will also be a priority of the government,” Mr. Rama Rao said.

Earlier, MLAs M. Yadagiri Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, T. Rajaiah and MLCs P. Rajeswar Reddy, B. Venkateswarlu, and former deputy chief minister Kadiam Srihari and others spoke.

Due recognition

Later, addressing party workers after laying the foundation stone for the party office building in Balasamudram in Hanamkonda, Mr. Rama Rao said victory should not lead to arrogance among leaders. The victory of TRS was not a stroke of luck but the result of hard work and sacrifice of hundreds of party workers. “They would be taken care of and their work duly recognised,” he assured. All wings of the party will strengthened and he would be touring the districts as often as possible, Mr. Rama Rao said. Newly elected MLAs — V. Satish Babu, D. Vinay Bhaskar, Ch. Dharma Reddy, Aruri Ramesh, D. S. Redya Naik and B. Shankar Naik — MPs V. Laxmikantha Rao, A. Sitaram Naik, Banda Prakash and P. Dayakar and others were present.
