Former chairman of Telangana Scheduled Castes Cooperative Development Corporation, Pidamarthi Ravi, criticised Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) founder Manda Krishna alleging that he is planning a protest on April 27 demanding installation of B.R. Ambedkar statue in Panjagutta only for his political survival.

Mr. Ravi alleged that Mr. Krishna is a natural opposer of Dr. Ambedkar and that’s the reason why he created rift between Malas and Madigas by terming Dr. Ambedkar as a Mahar and Jagjivan Ram as a Chamar. Mr. Ravi sought to know whether Mr. Krishna Madiga had ever participated in Ambedkar birth anniversary or celebrated the event in MRPS office. He appealed to Ambedkarites whether they want the 125 feet statue of Dr. Ambedkar being planned to be installed by the State Government near NTR Park or a small statue in Panjagutta area. Alleging that every movement and protest by Mr. Krishna Madiga is sponsored by others, he stated that the April 27 protest is being sponsored by the Congress.
