The Telangana Revenue Employees’ Services Association (TRESA) has called upon the revenue employees across the State to boycott their duties for two more days on Thursday and Friday to mourn the death of Tahasildar Vijaya Reddy.

TRESA (JAC) president Vanga Ravinder Reddy and general secretary K. Goutham Kumar, in a release on Wednesday, said they represented to Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) Somesh Kumar on Wednesday about extending all kinds of help to the families of Vijaya Reddy and driver Gurnatham, who lost their lives in a gruesome attack, and the problems related to the Revenue Department.

Mr. Somesh Kumar, who had invited the association members to discuss the problems faced by them, responded positively to their demands, including a judicial inquiry by a sitting judge into the murder of Abdullapurmet Tahsildar, and he assured them of addressing all their issues in a couple of days. The demands also included appointing an official committee of Land Record Updation Programme, providing police security in every revenue office, stopping malicious propaganda against the department among others.
