The Hyderabad Metro Rail services were disrupted for about 40 minutes when an advertisement flex banner fell on the overhead electric traction owing to heavy gales at JNTU on Thursday evening. The services were disrupted from 5.35 p.m. to 6.05 p.m., according to metro rail officials. L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad also tweeted the same and said normal services were resumed soon after the operating staff removed the flex banner.

It was for the third time this month that the metro rail services were disrupted owing to gusty winds, which was about 78 kmph on Thursday, and the second instance of a flex banner affecting the services.
