Top officials of power utilities show their generous side

The chief executives, Chairmen and Managing Directors of four power utilities in the State, have extended support in their personal capacity to the 30-day action plan implemented in villages from September 6 to October 5 to improve sanitation, general cleanliness and plantation.

According to officials of the power utilities, CMD of TS-Genco and TS-Transco D. Prabhakar Rao has got distributed two dust bins each, for dispose dry and wet waste, to every household in Pallarigudem village of Sangem mandal in Warangal Rural district.

He has also decided to present an auto-trolley to the gram panchayat for collection and disposal of the garbage collected in the village. In the past, he donated ₹4 lakh for construction of the Katamaiah temple in the village.

Similarly, CMD of Southern Discom (TSSPDCL) G. Raghuma Reddy has come forward to donate half-acre of his personal land for 'vaikuntha dhamam' (community graveyard) in Appareddypalli village of Madugula mandal in Rangareddy district. His family had donated one acre land in the village in the past for construction of an electrical sub-station.

On the same lines, the CMD of Northern Discom (TSNPDCL) has donated ₹1 lakh for improving sanitation in Kapula Kanaparthi village of Sangem mandal in Warangal Rural district.
