The twitter war between Pawan Kalyan and Ram Gopal Varma continued on Saturday too, though the actor targeted media houses and their heads, whom he accused of deliberately damaging his reputation, abusing his mother and warned of a legal battle.

He posted a clip of actress Sri Reddy abusing him in a slang bordering his mother and asked the channel heads to show it to their mothers, sisters and daughters. He also posted another clip where a former employee of TV9 is seen falling at the feet of TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash and asked him to run it on the channel repeatedly like the abusive clip of Sri Reddy was played.

In a separate tweet, he asked Ravi Prakash’s wife to keep her children away from watching the channel. Similar clip was posted targeting Radha Krishna, owner of ABN Andhra Jyothi. “I am enclosing a video of how your TDP DreamTeam (who initiated & promoted the campaign #abusepawankalyanmother, which you are member) please show it to Lokesh, friends, CM, and the women of your household & why don’t you take their opinion n&telecast?” he tweeted.

Ram Gopal Varma, on the other hand re-tweeted from actor and film critic Kathi Mahesh’s account whose post sought to know whether Pawan Kalyan would go to the police station to meet his followers who were arrested for damaging media vehicles. Mahesh has been a big critic of Pawan Kalyan over his political decisions and at the receiving end of his fans’ abusive threats. Mr. Varma said Mr. Pawan Kalyan should go to the police station with entire mega family to support them like he went to the film chambers on Friday .

Earlier in the day, a meeting of seniors in the film industry was held at Annapoorna Studios where Pawan Kalyan was expected to attend, but skipped apparently due to security reasons. The meeting discussed the developments arising over the casting couch issue raised by Sri Reddy and formed a Joint Action Committee (JAC) from various wings of the film industry.

Yarlagadda Supriya was elected as convenor of JAC and Nandini Reddy and Swapna Dutt were elected as members. It was attended by Allu Aravind, Adiseshagiri Rao, N. Shankar, K.S. Rama Rao, C. Kalyan, Hari Shankar, Meher Ramesh, Surender Reddy among others.

Meanwhile, journalists took to the streets across the two Telugu States protesting against Pawan Kalyan’s attack on media and demanding an apology from him. The TUWJ members protested at the Hyderabad Press Club while senior journalist leaders like Devulapalli Amar and K. Sreenivas Reddy said the profession of journalism can’t be practised the way Mr. Pawan Kalyan wishes.
