TITA’s workshop for students to improve skills


The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) and Telangana Academy for Skill & Knowledge (TASK) will conduct a free two-day work shop for students, IT aspirants and unemployed youth.

Latest trends in Information Technology, Personality Development, Employment Opportunities and Entrepreneurial Sessions will be part of the workshop to be held under the banner of ‘TITA Telangana YUVA Nirmaan’.

"It will be an annual event for us and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Sreehari, Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, JNTUH in-charge VC Shailja and TASK CEO Sujiv Nair, will be present on the inaugural day, said TITA founder & president Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that the event will be held on September 11 and 12, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on university auditorium premises, JNTU-H, Kukatpally. Sessions on soft skills like communication, time management and goal settings by personality development gurus C. Veerender, Gunreddy Narender and others will be held.

Technical sessions will be on digital media, cyber security, photonics, Big data and other topics by leading IT industry experts in the respective domains. These sessions are intended to help the audience understand the technology overview and evaluate the opportunities in these domains for choosing a successful path.

For students aspiring to go abroad for overseas higher education or employment, a session is scheduled by British High Commission on visa procedures and opportunities. Additional Commissioner of police Swathi Lakra will talk about ‘She’ teams to bring about awareness about the women’s protection measures, he said.

The TITA will also train over 1000 ‘Digithon Trainers’ to provide digital literacy training, besides an assessment test will be administered for the trainees and certificates will be presented to the successful students.
