TITA workshop to focus on skill-building

A two-day free workshop will be held for students, IT aspirants and unemployed youth in the latest trends in IT, personality development, employment opportunities and entrepreneurial sessions. The workshop is being organised by the Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H), and Telangana Academy for Skill & Knowledge (TASK).

The workshop, which will be held under the banner of ‘TITA Telangana YUVA Nirmaan’, will henceforth be an annual event. Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Kadiam Srihari, Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, JNTU-H in-charge V-C Shailja and TASK CEO Sujiv Nair, will be present on the inaugural day, said TITA founder & president Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said the event was scheduled to be held on September 11 and 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the university auditorium, JNTU-H, Kukatpally. Sessions on soft skills by personality development gurus C. Veerender, Gunreddy Narender and others will be held.

Technical sessions will cover topics such as digital media, cyber security, photonics and big data. Leading IT industry experts will share their views. These sessions are intended to help the audience understand the technology overview and evaluate opportunities in these domains for choosing a successful path.

For students aspiring to go abroad for higher education or employment, a session has been scheduled by the British High Commission on visa procedures and opportunities. Additional Commissioner of Police, Swathi Lakra, will talk about ‘She’ teams to bring about awareness on women’s protection, he said.

TITA will also train over 1,000 ‘Digithon Trainers’ to provide digital literacy training. Besides, an assessment test will be administered for trainees and certificates will be given to successful students. Participants can register for the event online at www.jntuh.ac.in.
