Three killed in road accident

Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents in the city on Tuesday night. A private employee – Raju (38) of Chintal and his relative Srinivas (54) of Shahpur were killed when a Maruti Ertiga rammed the motorcycle they were travelling on at Shamirpet.

The victims were crossing the road at Shamirpet MRO office ‘T’ junction when the car going towards Karimnagar from Hyderabad rammed into their bike. Both of them sustained serious injuries and died on the spot, Shamirpet SI T. Mahesh said.

The driver fled soon after the accident.

Software engineer hit by vehicle, killed

In another case, a software engineer, Dheeraj Kumar, died after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Saifabad. Dheeraj was with his friend Anirudh on a Honda Activa when the vehicle hit them. Dheeraj fell on the road and sustained a head injury. Death was instant for him, Saifabad SI, G. Mahalaxmaiah said.

His friend Anirudh escaped with minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
