The Madhapur police on Thursday caught three employees of Vibha Agrotech company, who allegedly stole 34 computers and two monitors from the company premises, three months ago.
The stolen property worth Rs. 5 lakh was recovered from the accused, N. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, 26, Md. Fareeduddin, 42 and K. Srinivasa Reddy, 34, working as closed circuit TV operator, housekeeping supervisor and security supervisor respectively. The trio got into bad vices and wanted to make money overnight, the Madhapur Inspector, K. Srinath Reddy, said.
In December, they went up the first floor of the company building and stole the computers and shifted them outside in a cab. On a tip-off, the police caught them on Thursday.
In another case, the Madhapur police arrested an auto-rickshaw driver, Rathlavath Anjaneyulu, for allegedly killing his father, R. Sakru, 45, nearly two weeks ago. Sakru allegedly used to harass his son by returning home in drunken condition and abuse other family members, including his daughter-in-law. Vexed over Sakru's behaviour, Anjaneyulu decided to eliminate him. On March 10, he bludgeoned his father's head with a hammer while the latter was asleep and fled.
