Three e-challans for over-speeding were issued earlier against the four-wheeler which crashed into a Metro Rail pillar on Wednesday early hours resulting in the death of two youngsters.
While two of them were issued while the vehicle was travelling on Outer Ring Road in Shamshabad, the third one was issued when it was driven violating speed limits in Madhapur. Though it is precisely yet to be ascertained at what speed the Sports Utility Vehicle was driven when it rammed into Metro Rail pillar No. 9, it was speculated that it was being driven at more than 120 km per hour speed.
By keying in the vehicle’s registration number in traffic police website, some persons found the vehicle was already issued three e-challans for over-speeding in first three months of this year. The speed recorded by the speed guns of the traffic police in the e-challan showed it was driven at 140 kmph.
Even the video footage recovered by from a private person showing the road crash suggested that the vehicle was driven at high speed.
