‘Telangana emerging as automobile hub’

State’s first e-biking challenge kicks off at BVRIT

Telangana is slowly but surely emerging as an automobile hub with several automobile companies eyeing the State for investment opportunities, asserted K.V. Vishnu Raju, chairman of Sri Vishnu Educational Society.

He was addressing students after inaugurating the State’s first Indian Pro-Kart Endurance Championship and Asian E-Bike Challenge at B.V. Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT) on Tuesday.

The mechanical engineering department of BVRIT is holding a national-level Go-Kart racing event till March 16 in collaboration with ‘Imagine to Innovate.’ Over 1000 students and 50 teams from across India are participating in the event.

‘Imagine to Innovate Asia E-bike Challenge’ is an eco-friendly venture based on engineering design and manufacturing of electric bike by the students.

Automobile expert and MD of Deccan Auto Rao M. Chalasani said more girls are opting for mechanical engineering, and that there has been a surge in the number of girls working in assembly line of Ford.
