Telangana Bandh keeps RTC fleet off the road

May 29, 2014 10:59 pm | Updated August 16, 2016 11:33 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Barring inter-State operations, the entire fleet of Road Transport Corporation buses remained off the road in Telangana due to the bandh called by the TRS in protest against the ordinance by the Centre, merging 205 villages of Khammam district with Andhra Pradesh for the construction of Polavaram project. The roads in Telangana were largely decongested due to the absence of public transport even as the bandh crippled normal life in the region with shops, establishments and other institutions remaining closed.
