Depressed with financial problems a 30-year-old techie ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in Chandanagar on Sunday.

The deceased Ganji Rekha was working with a multinational company in Gachibowli.

According to K. Nagaiah, sub-inspector, Chandanagar, around 9.30 a.m. on Sunday, Rekha’s husband Ujwal found her hanging in a bedroom and soon informed the same to their family members and police.

Preliminary probe revealed that the woman resorted to the extreme step as she was facing financial crisis and had been upset because of it, he said.

Police found a suicide note purportedly written by the deceased which cited ‘no one is responsible for my death.’

“In the note, Rekha asked her husband to take care of their three children and mentioned that the financial condition led her to take the extreme step,” police said.

According to police, on Saturday night, the couple attended a party organised by her company at a pub and reached home.

The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy and later handed over to family members.
