Teacher lodges complaint against family

A school teacher on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police against her family members alleging that they fixed up her marriage without her consent.

Threatened

The 24-year-old woman in her complaint stated that her marriage was fixed with a 35-year-old man and her parents were threatening her if she did not agree to the marriage.

She charged her parents with detaining her in the house for the last few days.

Also, the woman alleged that her parents wanted her to discontinue her job.

Based on her complaint, the police registered a case under Section 341 (wrong restraint) and Section 506 (criminal intimation) against her family members.
