A teacher was arrested for allegedly molesting and trying to rape a girl. The incident took place at the district headquarters on Thursday.
According to Nandeeswar Reddy, Circle Inspector, P. Chandrasekhar, a teacher working in a government school, offered lift to a girl going home. However, on the way, he stopped at a house, took her inside and tried to rape her. With the girl raising a hue and cry, the locals broke open the doors, thrashed him and headed him over to the police.
The police arrested him and registered a case under Nirbhaya Act and SC, ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act.
