‘Swine flu on the wane’

As temperatures rise, the prospect of swine flu spreading its tentacles is bound to come down as it is globally found that such viral attacks break out more during the cold season, said Director of the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. N. Narendranath, at his daily briefing on the swine flu situation in the State on Monday. He put the number of deaths at a total of 22 so far - 9 during December last and 13 this month. Earlier during the day, the new Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy reviewed the position with Dr. Narendranath.
