SW school student dies of fever

A Class V student of Social Welfare Residential School for boys in Manuguru died of suspected fever while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhadrachalam on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as D. Jaswanth, a native of Karakagudem. Sources said Jaswanth suddenly fainted while on his way to the toilet on the premises of the residential institution in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The staff first admitted the boy to a local hospital and then shifted him to a hospital in Bhadrachalam town. The boy died during the course of treatment a little later.

Activists of a students activists demanded an inquiry into the incident.
