Suresh Kumar is new EFLU VC

Former Registrar of the Osmania University E. Suresh Kumar took charge as Vice-Chancellor of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) on Friday. He succeeds Prof. Sunaina Singh, who completed her term and was appointed Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University.

Prof. Kumar, who hails from Warangal district did his M.A. and Ph.D from the Osmania University. He has 27 years of teaching experience and 20 years of administrative experience in Osmania University where he worked as the Registrar. He has published 30 books and 21 research articles and guided numerable students in the field of English Language Training and literature.

He also held several positions in the university as the Director, District PG Colleges, Head of the Department of English, Director of English Language Training Centre, Director of Centre for English Language Training, Students Advisor of PG College of Science among others.

Soon after taking charge, he addressed the EFLU faculty and said the main role of a University like the E.F.L. University is not merely disseminating the existing ideas, knowledge and wisdom but involving itself actively in the creation of new ideas, world views and new systems of knowledge. He sought the cooperation of the faculty and students in this endeavour.
