‘Summer Samurai’ camp inaugurated

Summer Samurai, a mega event initiated by the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions (TSWREI) Society for the all-round development of its students across the State, was formally inaugurated in the city.

The Visual Arts Literacy Camp was inaugurated at Chitramayee State Gallery of Fine Arts by Rasamayee Balakishan, Chairman of the Cultural Department.

The camp is intended to impart the art and science of visual arts to selected learners who have a flair for art and craft, sculpture, fabric paintings, canvas paintings and others.

Good turnout

As many as 3,312 turned up on the first day of the ten camps.

The “Summer Samurai” is a programme meant to train students in different disciplines, a press statement said.
