Heavy rainfall in the last three days has resulted in the rise of water level in Pranahita river in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. Good rainfall on Tuesday morning at some places in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district also has the local streams swollen thereby disrupting normal life.
With the Kushinepalli Vagu stream in Bejjur mandal and Yerravagu in Dahegaon mandal being in spate, several villages lying on the other side have been cut off. People from Dimda in Chintalamanepalli mandal, who have to cross the Pranahita river to reach villages in Maharashtra on the other side, are facing difficulty owing to the strong currents in the Pranahita.

Meanwhile, rain lashed the erstwhile integrated Nizamabad district since the last 24 hours resulting in the rise in water level in some streams and rivulets. Jannepally stream in Navipet mandal and Talweda in Nandipet mandal in the district, and Peda Vagu in Lingampet mandal in Kamareddy district are in spate.
The district received an average of 35.1 mm rain, while Kamareddy received 36.2 mm. Yellareddy recorded the highest of 67.2 mm followed by Gandhari - 48.4 mm and Biknur - 43.2 mm. In Nizamabad, highest rainfall was recorded in Velpur - 49.6 mm followed by Kammarpally - 48.4 mm and Armoor - 47.9 mm.
