Stay on transfer of AP ‘natives’

The present transfers are contrary to provisions of the State Reorganisation Act.

June 13, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 01:31 pm IST - Hyderabad:

Justice Reddy Kantha Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday suspended the operation of transfer orders issued to several employees who are allegedly ‘natives’ of AP State from TSSPDCL. The guidelines framed which facilitated such transfers are also stayed. The status quo as on June 9 is directed to be maintained.

The Judge was dealing with several writ petitions filed by employees of TSSPDCL who complained that in the name of nativity clause they are sought to be sent out.

The present transfers are contrary to provisions of the State Reorganisation Act.
