State writes to Centre on police officers’ allocation

January 12, 2019 11:09 pm | Updated 11:09 pm IST - HYDERABAD

The Telangana government has written to the Centre to keep in abeyance the allocation of State-level employees in the Police Department to the two States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh till issues relating to seniority were settled.

Any decisions taken unilaterally by the Centre based on the recent government orders issued by AP would only result in further complications and injustice, the Telangana government said.

The letter addressed to the Joint Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training, Delhi, was related to the allocation of Deputy Superintendents of Police, Additional Superintendents of Police and and Superintendents of Police (non-cadre), who worked in the erstwhile united AP, to the two States of Telangana and residuary AP.
