SRLDC takes serious note of grid code violations

Twenty instances of sudden rise or fall in the loads on the Southern Grid have been recorded from the Telangana State between November 12 and 24, prompting the Southern Regional Load Despatch Centre (SRLDC) to write a serious note to the TSTransco about the same.

The SRLDC, in its letter dated November 27, has made a mention of every instance where the loads underwent sudden change of more than 100 MW, and expressed serious concern about the same. It could lead to the Southern Regional Power Committee filing a petition against the discoms before the Central Electricity Authority for penal action, as such instances amount to violation of Grid Code. TSTransco has, in turn, written to the discoms seeking them to adhere to load relief patterns and stagger agricultural loads.
