Speed up work on Anantagiri and Ranganayak Sagar: Harish Rao

Reservoirs to be completed by end of June

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao directed officials to complete the Anantagiri and Ranganayak Sagar by the end of June this year.

In a review meeting held here on Friday, Mr. Harish Rao called for coordination between revenue and irrigation officials to speed up work in Siddipet and Rajanna-Sircilla districts, which are covered under packages 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the reservoirs.

He directed the officials to focus on canal works and asked them to complete Anantagiri-3 bund in a month.Referring to Ranganayak Sagar, Mr. Harish Rao said six acres of land was yet to be acquired out of the 2,170 acres needed. He asked officials to acquire this land within two days and commence laying the pipeline. He also directed officials to complete land acquisition for Mallannasagar without any delay.
