Under one umbrella, every year, The Hindu November Fest brings together the best in the world of music — classical, experimental, fusion and popular — and musicians to celebrate the inimitable magic of music that is beyond boundaries.

This year, the annual fest from The Hindu is a carefully curated selection of a slew of genres that are rooted and free-spirited at the same time. This edition features a collaborative classical performance, two experimental acts that will come together in a double bill evening.

‘Yatra, a Journey Within’ would be presented by Bombay Jayashri Ramnath and Abhishek Raghuram at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, on November 23 from 7.30 p.m. The performance would last 120 minutes.

Drawing inspiration from their own training, influences and experiences, classical music maestros Bombay Jayashri Ramnath and Abhishek Raghuram’s collaborative performance is a sensitively curated homage to the musical traditions of India.

Traversing seamlessly across these many musical forms, the performance is also inclusive in its premise and philosophy.

Sharing space with the vocalists are artistes who literally own their instruments — tabla, mridangam, keys, flute and sarangi — and together, they will add a fascinating dimension to the overall musical narrative allowing audiences to appreciate the beauty of individuality and the magic of a collaboration.

The ensemble includes Bombay Jayashri Ramnath (vocals), Abhishek Raghuram (vocals), Ravichandra Kulur (flute), Murad Ali (sarangi), Praveen D Rao (keyboard/harmonium) , Anantha R Krishnan (mridangam) and Ojas Adhiya (tabla).
